Family Potluck Supper – Sunday, October 29th 6:00-8:00 PM LHS COMMONS II

Dear Debate Families,

Please join us for our annual potluck dinner—a longstanding tradition that enables parents to meet other debaters and their families. The parent-run Backers of Lexington Debate (BOLD) will update us on major debate events of interest to all families. There will also be a brief demonstration debate on the classic topic of Civil Disobedience–a great opportunity for parents of novices to catch their first glimpse of debate argument.

We welcome cuisines of all types, but ask that you bring a generous quantity of your signature dish, salad or dessert—enough to serve at least a dozen hungry people—along with serving utensils. For those bringing drinks, we request four or five two-liter bottles (or perhaps a case) of something healthy and chilled, such as juice or water. Paper goods and utensils for eating and drinking will be provided.

To facilitate the potluck process, we are assigning food and drink based on your child’s last name:

A-M: Main dish

N-R:   Salad

S-T: Drink

U-Z: Dessert

Please RSVP to by October 26th with the number of family members attending and the food/drink item you plan to bring.  And if you are willing and able to help with set up or clean up, please include that in your RSVP.

Thanks, and looking forward to seeing all of you in October!
